Darren Williams is a highly skilled Facilitator and Organisational Development Consultant with over 15 years experience in education, training and development who is committed to helping his clients reach their full potential.
Darren has extensive experience in the formation and ongoing development of workplace teams, including stages of development, characteristics of high performance teams and leadership and team membership skills.
Working with organisations and individuals to address the critical factors that influence successful performance, Darren works with clients to devise strategies to support change by fostering the development of skills and instilling enthusiasm to deal with challenges.
Darren designs and develops interventions that fit the cultural needs of client organisations by facilitating processes that capture the critical thoughts, knowledge and expertise of staff and other key stakeholders. Successful outcomes are enhanced by his knowledge, skill and expertise coupled with features of best practice management.
Since 1991, Darren has consulted to hundreds of national and international clients providing expertise in developing team and organisational effectiveness through personal development and training. A highlight for 2006 was the opportunity to work for six weeks training 500 staff in Qatar, for DAGOC (Doha Asian Games Organising Committee) who were organising the Asian Games. This involved designing and running leadership programs that were delivered to individuals from over 50 nationalities.
Darren has a depth of experience in applying adult learning principles to training workshops, and he specialises in the use of experiential and adventure based learning techniques. He includes these methodologies where needed throughout his programs. Benefits to participants include opportunities for action learning, by applying theoretical concepts to practical situations. Participants practice new behaviours and receive immediate feedback on their performance, something that is essential for the development of new skills.
